About the National Wine Centre
The National Wine Centre of Australia (NWC) is one of Adelaide’s premier wedding and hospitality venues, located in the vibrant East End of the CBD. Renowned for its exceptional standards, the NWC has built an outstanding reputation for delivering unforgettable wedding receptions and dining experiences.
Our unique architectural building is surrounded by the green space of the Adelaide Botanic Gardens and parklands and plays host to over 800 events and over 20,000 visitors per year.
The NWC is a showcase and focal point for Australia’s wine industry and as such, it has become a beloved landmark for food and wine lovers across the country, who have engaged in the range of wine tourism and event experiences on offer.
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and dedicated professional to join this award-winning venue within a dynamic event sales team. This is a pivotal role within the organisation, with the candidate required to work in association with other departments to successfully deliver the events.
Key responsibilities include:
- Act as the primary point of contact for wedding clients from initial enquiry through to post-event follow-up
- Meet with clients and conduct site inspections
- Coordinate and assist with the on-day preparations of weddings
- Liaise effectively with internal teams and external vendors to ensure seamless delivery
- Generate new business and collaborate with the Sales & Event Planning Manager on marketing initiatives
Applicants should have strong communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel (experience with Salesforce is advantageous), and ideally at least two years’ experience in the events industry.
