Introducing ‘Meet the Maker’: a free tasting event dedicated to a single producer. Held on a Friday mid-month at the National Wine Centre’s Wined Bar, enjoy a relaxed afternoon as you meet the people behind the wine. Join us for free tastings, complimentary canapés and live music. This new event offers a rare opportunity to chat with the winemaker and enjoy their wines up close in an intimate setting.

About George's Folly

It was a rather unconventional entrée into the wine industry for George, Jodie and family when after years of holidaying on the Fleurieu Peninsula, George come home one day and announced that he had purchased a vineyard at Currency Creek, not the holiday house Jodie had desired! With no experience in viticulture, it was quite the baptism of fire when soon after settlement, the first vintage was upon them. Since then and with 11 vintages under their belt, the family has well and truly adapted and affectionately call said vineyard “George’s Folly”, which has since become their wine label, specialising in French and Italian varietal wines.
